About Me
Hello all. My name is Kathryn. I’m an ESL teacher in South Korea. I’m also a self-proclaimed geek. I’ve been learning the use Linux for almost six months now. I started out on Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) but I’ve moved on to Fedora 7 (Moonshine).
I’m actively involved in the BOINC community in a number of different roles.
I was trained as a developmental psychologist at Youngstown State University and The University of Texas. I was interested in visual perception and cognition in the first 18-24 months of life. Although I’m not active in the field now, I still have those interests. The nice thing about my current job is being able to see development in action. It’s not perception, but it is most definitely cognition as well as language development.
